Hi.

I have to repair a C=64 cartridge (Cpitan Niki II) and the damaged eprom is 27c256.

I'm not sure what file I have to transfer, but almost certainly is this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/x5z09qw4j1fs00f/Captain_Miky_II_NIKI2_Rename.bin

and it is a 32k binary (I think was dumped from a 27c256 epr).

My eprom is a sst27sf512 re-writtable, and it is a 64k epr.

How should I set this eprom with GQ-4x programmer? (possibly without soldering jumping from one pin to another!)

Software is GQ-4XUSBPrg.

Thanks.

There should be no any setting needed.

It should be a drop-in replacement.

You just need to select sst27sf512 from software and write the data file. You need to erase the 27SF512 and do blank chck before write it.

Many thanks. So at least I know that sst27sf512 is not compatible for my purpose. I need a 27c256 epr. But is there 27C256 epr "rewritable" for Willem GQ-4X programmer?

27C256 is a rewritable chip. It is EPROM. You need a UV eraser to erase it before write new data.
