I attempted to program a new DS1220AD-150(2013 Chip)in the GQ-4X. It read the original chip fine. It programmed the new chip and verified it. However, when the chip was put into the board (socketed) the equipment came up with an error.

I re-read the chip in my TL866 backup programmer and programmed the same new chip and it worked perfectly in the equipment.

There is something wrong with the GQ-4X when programming a new DS1220AD-150.

Any help would be appreciated as I purchased the GQ-4X to get rid of the TL866.

Use GQ-4X to program the chip and then use TL866 to verify the chip and see what is wrong.

1st: Downloaded latest software 6.29. Read original DS1220AD in TL866 all fine. Read chip in GQ-4X and data missing on read 00000000 thru 00000030 and spots throughout all FFs (on the TL866)this area has data. Took original chip read it in GQ-4X, programmed new chip in GQ-4X, varified fine. Read original chip in TL866 the verified new chip in TL866. 614 differences total.

I think the problem is in the initial read by the GQ-4X. Thanks for the help! Scott
