background: i have a gq-4x with a adp-054 from here

i can write and verify 27c160
i change the j1 to 2-3 but i get dumps that do not read right even dumped multiple times.

what on the adp-054 should i meter out to see if its working properly?

Here is an example video, it also shows how to reduce the pin contacting problem after instal the chip on the programmer.

Also, make sure followings:

1. your chip is a working chip.
2. your chip pin contacting are good between chip and adapter, as well as adapter and programmer ZIF socket.
3. make sure other chips are working with the programmer.

im using multiple chips. so thanks but im not stupid.
i have proper contact with the chips.

The 27C160 and 27C322 are basically same except the address A20 pin on 27C322 is an extra address line.

That means if you read the chip with 27C160 settings, you can get 50% data from 27C322.

Since your 27C160 works fine, so, try: Read the chip with all 27C160 setup, you should get the first 50% of chip correct. If you can not get 50% correct data, then the problem may be related to the chip.
