I need to read a SST89E516RD2 40-I-NJE PLCC44 and can't find it in the devices list. I downloaded the data sheet and it says it is a pin for pin of the Intel 8051. I know just enough to be dangerous, but would appreciate any help anyone can give. Is there another chip that is compatible in the list that can be chosen that would allow me to read this chip?

It doesn't program as an 8051, just tried and it will not read it.

Those old chips are not in the supported list.

I have <<INTEL 8051>> in 7.26 would it not program the same as it is pin for pin?
