I'am getting this error when I attemped to install a driver for my programmer(GQ-3x)I have windows vista
Window found driver software for your device but encountered an erro while attempting to install it.
GQ USB Programmer
The system cannot find the file specified
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for the driver software.
I have checked to see if the driver files are there: "GQw2k.inf" and "ezusb.sys" both of them are. These were mention in a earlier post not sure if he is haveing the same problem as me.
When i go to run the program is says: did not get a respose from programmer.. Help ....Michael Kaplan

It sure helped me out aoc_pilsener - THANKS!
With Windows 7, the programmer showed up as an "unknown device" in the Device Manager window. By selecting Update and pointing it to the Driver 2.01 folder, it was able to load the driver and my programmer is now FOUND by the software.

Hmmm I got it to work. I'am not exsactly sure what i did(A year ago i did not even know how to work a computer) But I went to control panel
Hardware and sound
Dive manger
Update divice driver
Clicked on the unknown divice
Clicked manually update. Choose the GQUBSPrgRe3.0....File , It then mention that this program did not have a signature, and gave me a option to overide. It sussufully installed the driver and seems to be working. Hope this helps out some one in the future with the same problem. Thanks |
