Hi. I have a CQ-4X with the latest download or the softwre for it.

I can't find PIC 16F627 on the list any more. 16F627A and the 16F628/A
are there... I have tried using the 16F627A to program the device but it gives the "ID check failed.("2907A0")" etc..
Here's a listing of cut/pasted from the programmer... Any ideas?
I have a good stock of these and they are ok with the smaller routines.

ID check failed.("2907A0")

PIC16F627 is difference to PIC16F627A.

Try to add following line:
Name="PIC16F627",ID="2907A0",Class="PIC16F628A",Category="MCU",MFG="Microchip",ENDPRG_COMMAND="",BEGERASECHIP_COMMAND="8",DeviceFile="PIC16F627.dev";
