Dear,

I just bought this GQ-4x4 programmer.
I installed the software under windows 7
But when i launch, i get the error "file open error:devices.txt"

I checked and the devices.txt is not present.
That is probably the cause but it nowhere to be found on the installation cd either

Is there an up to date devices.txt file? I am asking as i see al lot of people having to modify this file to be able to work the EPROMS like TMS 27C40-10 and i will be using those.

hope you can help out

kind regards,

Edwin

In fact, the whole C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\mcumall\GQ USB Programmer\ folder does not get created (even tho i clearly see this address zip by during the installation).

Could it be a problem with Windows 10 v 1803?

Running same Windows version here, GQ-4X4 works fine but with each update something goes wonky. Micro$ost is loosing it.

i think i found the issue, when i ran the program as Administrator (windows 7) , suddenly the devices are now populated and no error on startup anymore!
I do not have my EPROMS yet so i cannot test yet.
But thanks already for the sugestion as it helped!
