in soft celect EN29LV800BT
tap the ID - and NO ID - DEVECE ID INFORMATION 4706

IC IS NOT LOCKED
adapter TSOP 48 8bit mode
pins selected j4=off j2=29F j1=5v
the ic is working (the laptop with him working - problem wit bios password)

please help

No need to open up the programmer to test it, you can simply use the software...

Hi I had a problem with writing, but could read ok, no id,
I found the problem was with the soldering on the ZIF socket inside the programmer, use a multimeter
test all pins from the zif to the sockets that plug on to the pcb programmer pins,

Maybe the chips is not connecting to the adapter pins properly. I have just tried a near identical chip in my GQ and you can see by the screen shots it works OK.

NOTE: My chip is slightly different to yours, mine is 29LV800CT hence why chip ID is different.
