Hey guys, I'm trying to calibrate an 02 honda Odyssey
ON chip 93c56. I can read the chip and when I try to write back to the chip the buffer shows that it's writing, however when I re-read it again nothing has changed on the chip.
any idea....
I've tried with the chip soldered to the printed board and also directly to the programmer.
using GQ-X4
Thank You... |

IF the programmer software write and verified chip, then it should be write correctly.
Different board may have different in circuit programming. Not sure how your target hardware designed.

I removed the chip from the printed board to make sure I had a good communication I read the chip directly to the programmer and I'm able to read the chip but not to write back to it.
Has anyone had a situation like this or know how to deal with this.
Any help will be very appreciated.
Thank You

Are you able to erase the chip?
After erase, do blank check to make sure the chip is blank.
The chip is confirmed chip on GQ-4X. So, make sure all pin contacting are good.

I'm having the same problem, erased, blank check and still nothing someone suggested to lower voltage to 2.75v, but it does not give me an option for voltage, any other suggestions? |

93c56 has two modes 8bit and 16 bit. If you do not know the mode, try both of them. and make sure your chip is a good chip. |
