just wondering if anybody has come across this, programmer is only getting 20-25% of a read then needs unplugging for it to read again but doesnt complete the read, Eeprom is a 24cl256 tried it on others and getting the same.

Its old but been very loyal, time to buy a new one but needed to read this chip urgently.

Would of posted a screen shot but cant for some reason

You tried the chip on other programmers or the GQ-4X on other chips?

I have the same problem, and my unit is brand new. I can load/read other eeproms, but the 24lc256 has problems. Doing an erase hangs once the progress bar hits 100%, the unit is hung, the erase is unsuccessful, and I have to close and reopen the app. Other eeproms are ok. I had multiple install problems that make me thankfull this thing was fairly cheap.
