My friend just bought a Willem Dual to use for burning
SST27SF512 chips about a week ago. His computer is newer and doesn't
have the old school 25 pin PCI port that the Willem Dual uses,
so he purchased a 25 pin to USB adapter to go from the Willem Burner
to the computer. Let me add that he also bought an old school printer
25 pin PCI card and had terrible luck with it. He can't get it to
operate. It keeps throwing a code 10.

The software for the Willem Burner will only let you point the
device to LPT1, LPT2 or LPT3. How can he get the USB port
that he is using with his USB adapter to point to these or
communicate as one of them?

I'm too far away from him geographically to actually trouble
shoot it for real. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as he
has sunk some money into this with adapters and what not and
is about to give up.

Mine was plug-n-play but I'm using an older tower..

The USB-LPT adapter does not work on Dual Power Willem programmer.
