I am new to this programmer, and have a few used D8751 MCU's. I would like to program these (4K onboard) but do not see them listed with any adapters. Can I use the AT 89 adapter?
The AT89 adapter is supportingD8751 and D87C51. The 87C51 should not have any problem. However for D8751, since it is not a CMOS chip, it will need much higher DC current for programming. You may need do some small modification on the programmer to increase the DC current when you reading/programming the D8751. Just replace the VCC control transistor to a higher current transistor, and use a DC power supply intead of the USB power cable. The on board VCC control transistor only be able to provide up to 200mA current. You may need a 500mA transistor.
Thanks for the reply. The documentation was somewhat confusing. As for the chip, I misread it (the problem with old faded chips), it is a D87C51 so I should not have to modify anything.
