I just want to clarify something on the EASYPro 80B programming ability. Is it possible to program in particular a 40 pin EPROM hitachi HN27C4096AG-12 PGM 12.5 volts in this programmer.I read on the features that this programmer supports 3-5 volts devices only. But when I browse the device list the 27C4096 EPROM -is one of the chip that it can program. Is there anyone who program succesfully a 27C4096 EPROM on this programmer. I'll appreciate your response because i'm planning to buy this one. Thanks in advance. Bong
Thanks USB, I read an advise on the other forum that if you blank check a chip it should be in 5 volts but if you write a program on it should be in 12.5 or 12.7 volt(considering the 27C4096 EPROM). Is it true? The one feature of the easyPro 80B is it supports a 3-5 volt devices only. Is the 3-5 volts feature is for blank check and program writing?
When programming time, the chip's operating voltage Vcc still be 5V (or 6.5V). And the 12.7V vpp only applied on the chips Vpp pin, not applied on Vcc pin. Also, once you selected the chip type. the programmer will know which pin is the VCC pin and which pin is Vpp pin. And the programmer will adjust the voltage automatically. You do not need to worry about the voltage at all. Same on the blank check, the programmer will know which voltage should be used.
This univaersal programmer has all the listed chip's voltage information and it will automatically select the Vcc and Vpp when it doing the work.(read/blankcheck/write).
