Hello all,

I have a fairly simple project I need to undertake. I have done a little PIC programming, but am kind of new to eproms, etc.

I have some old commercial transceiver radios that have a memory module that use a 2716 eprom. These modules are hard to get and it would be great to make a replacement module with a pin compatible, more modern chip without having to change the pc board layout. I know that the 28c16 will supposedly replace the 2716 directly, but what other options would there be that can still be programmed with the same hex file? Thanks in advance....

Ken
