hi I have a GQ-4X PROGRAMER and I`m Try to read with a test clip a 24C02= B58258 eeprom and the programer just shows the progress bar and said (reading. .. 24C02. the eeprom is a immo of a E.C.U Bosh I try now with 2 E.C.U.
The LED vcc on the programmer is red at moment to read the eeprom when normally is green. Now I try to use alimentation and gives me the same problem. thank you hopefully can help. |

Are you doing in circuit programming?
It does not read? or read but gives wrong data?
Is your ECU powered up?
How many lines you connected to the chip? |

Is your ECU powered up? not is powered
How many lines you connected to the chip? I conect the 8 lines of the serial eeprom and I'm connected correctly..

"not read "?? does the software freezed during the reading?
If this is true, then the chip in circuit may not be able to programmed in circuit. It needs to removed from the PCB. |

hi.
i have same problem.
I try read chip B58253 it is 24c02 SOP, but in gq-4x doesnt work read this chip, i am try various combinations chips in menu, but doesnt work.
in gq-4x still read only FF in chip
in willem usb/lpt work ok |
gq-4x4, gq-4x, willem usb/lpt |

| If you programming the chip on the programmer, then the chip may be the problem. |
