Hello, can anyone help me with this problem? I’m currently trying to program a Intel N82802AB FW Hub chip and I cant get it to work. Using the enhanced William I have selected the N82802AB and set the dip stitches as described (1,4,7,9,11 OFF and 2,3,5,68,10,12 ON). The chip is placed in the FWHLPC socket as stated by the software. The erase procedure works ok, but when you try to do a blank test and/or a try and write the chip you get an error message (Error at 0x000000 chip=0x4 buffer=0xFF) The chip id doesn’t show intel ether. My guess is a bad chip?? Please help.

Can you get the ID correctly? If not, check the chip if ant contacting problem with the socket. Tr do not push the chip too deep into the socket, the top surface of the chip should be same as socket's top surface. |

Well, if your chip has no contact problem, then there is a chance for bad chip. |

Hi,
Try increasing the R/C delay in the program until you can get a valid ID.
You might also check your adapter to make sure it's lowering voltage appropriately. I think that device is 3.3V.
