I havent seen this problem in the forum, maybe someone can help.

I have used a hexeditor to change a little code and saved it.

When ever I used the GQ USB programmer software to read it, and then just save it back to the drive, the code changes?? (wtf?)

Is this something to do with the checksum of the orignal file I changed, edited and then saved?

How can I get around this?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

The file you loaded into GQ software may not exactly same size as your chip selected. So, the GQ software adjusted the size of the file to match the chip. The data should be same and the check sume changed for the new saved file from GQ software.
