Hi all
I'm trying to write a st M27512F1 without success with a GQ-3X
It's a revision 1.50
I've tried 6.14, 6.11 & 5.03 version of the program
Usb driver 2.0
2 different chips
different speeds
The programmer reads the chip ok.
but always the same error: "write failed, address=0x000000 buffer=0x39, device=0x00"
What i'm doing wrong?
thankyou in advance.

Does it ID the chip correctly?
Does the programmer works with onther brand 27512 chip?

Hi
Yes, the id is well recognized
But i believe it's my fault, cause the M27512F1 is an EPROM (not EEPROM)
this kind of chip needs to be UV Erased first if i understand correctly, I bought an UV Eraser from ebay, when it arrive i'll see...
any idea about this? i'm right with this?

If your chip has a top glass window, then it needs UV eraser to erase it.
