Good evening,
I have the following system and software (Windows XP SP3):

H/W Re: GQ-4X Re-2.20(SW Re. 6.38)
USB Driver Re.2.0
Software Re. 6.38

<<HN27C64>>
Apply external power !

When reading a few times a HN27C64G, the content (the buffer) and the checksum are always different. The Verify command also fails. This EPROM works well when used in its environment.

When reading a different EPROM with the GQ-4X Re-2.20, it works perfectly.

Is the HN27C64G supported?

Regards,
Lionel

Thank you for the suggestion.

Here is what finally worked:
1. Read the EPROM many times (11 to 19) until the checksum is constant.
2. Now the content can be read perfectly for all EPROMS.
3. When I turn off the GQ-4X, then when I turn it on, I have to go through the above step 1 until the checksum is constant.

I tried it on two PCs (one with Windows XP, one with Windows 10 with a fresh install of the software): the behavior is the same. I wonder if there are capacitors or other components that are aging? I bought the GQ-4X new last summer (2015).

Regards,
Lionel
