I am now trying to red the main EPROMS which have the labels /"Bosch'98 1037356433 / 432
When I cross ref them in the ECU spread sheet this denotes them as 27C010

I set the GQ to the 27C010 device and try to read - all I get is C3 repeated in the buffer.
I reset the GQ and this time I do an ID first which gives STElectronics M27C1000

Hmm I think and try to read again with the same result as before. So I set the device to M27C1000 and try to read again - same result - C3 in all places.

I have tried both chips which are PLCC32 and keep getting the same C3 result no matter what.
The only thing that seems to work is doing the ID after resetting the HW and SW.

I have lightly sanded the legs on the chip too and I am using the PLCC32 adapted in the socket.

Many thsnks !
