Hi All,
I've selected AT47LV1614A in the device list i have a TSOP 48 8/16 BIT adapator but i can't get it to erase the chip well funny thing is it gets to 1 percent says chip erased i read it it shows mostly FF'S but there are parts with data and blank check fails. Now i am NEWBIE i've got the 3X version of the WIllem the adaptor has got some jumpers on it J1 J2 2 of each 4 in total.

My question is software says set jumper to 5v how?? i dont see anything saying 5v only jumper on the adaptor states 3v6 open.

It reads and detects the chip fine i looked in the lock unlock section of the software and it shows

already tried that guys i always turn on the temp unprotect feature it states it erases fine but fails the blank check when i try and re=read the chip it shows all FF's expect some parts have diffrent letters i persume the protected parts so it seems it's not unprotecting the chip even thou it states it is.

hi
1:use tsop48 8/16bit adapter
2:Turn on the temporary unprotect feature when erasing and writing your device
3:select AT49LV1614A device if error message and can not working try with 29lv160 device and then erase with Turn on the temporary unprotect feature
good luck

I had the same problem and if i did manage to get one to erase it would always fail in programming, gave up in the end and just use a standard willem now, programmer is very good for all other chips i use though

Turn on the temporary unprotect feature when erasing and writing. Ths software will ask you if you want to turn on this feature when you start to erase and writing. Click on Yes button when the software ask you .

Hello zlm i am not sure how to set the jumpers for 5v where on willem programmer is 5v jumper please i cannot find it ?

how do i set J1 for 29Fxxx? i am not sure how these jumpers should be set do you have a picture ?
ZLM Posted - 02/20/2008 : 00:26:15
It should be AT49LV1614A chip.

-Close the Vcc jumper for 5V.
-When erasing and writing, click on Yes button when the software ask you to turn on the temporary unprotect feature.
-Set J1 for 29FXXX.
-You should be able to get the correct ID, if not, check the pin contact. Clean the pin if necessary.
