I just got my new programmer and can't write anything with it.
I've tried many different devices including three different types: AM29F040B, AT29C040A and AM27C040. On the AM29C040A the programmer says that it does not support locking it. This was the reason I bought this programmer.

All I get is a write error right away except for the AM29C040A which seems to program the chip but then verify fails if I take the chip out and put it back in to the programmer.

Any ideas? If I can't fix this, I'll have to return the product.

I tried USB hubs and external power supply. Same thing.

Thanks
Nic

All those chips supported.

Check your adapter if it is a right one.

You should be able to get correct ID to confirm the pin contacting no problem.
