Posted - 08/31/2016 : 18:34:32 Hi, I've been having a lot of issues with my programmer. One day I can write the chips, the next day I can't verify those same chips...
I've tried using power, using another adapter, using another USB cable, Win 7,8.1 and Win 10. When it does work I can only ever use the default +2 speed to erase the chip properly. If i try to erase on lower speeds it starts but then fails and says chip doesn't need erase or not compatible
I'm beginning to think it might be the programmer, any advice? Ready GQ-4x4 1.0 @ SW Re. 7.09 USB Driver Re.1.0 Software Re. 7.09 Checking new software on server... I just haven't bothered to create another device with the 04D4 ID
I've wrote these chips successfully in the past.
The local supplier will send me another programmer to test and I will return the one I have

You need to solve the ID error issue.
Most of ID issues are caused by poor pin contacting.
Using a magnify glass to check each pin in ZIF socket.
