Posted - 09/08/2016 : 22:39:18 I pulled a 24c02 eprom out of a VW Jetta to turn off the Immo. I used the gq4x to read the code I then saved the file and opened it in Cal15 to turn off the Immo then saved the new code. I then erased the chip and after many attempts it finally passed the blank chip verify. I then write the chip with the new code. It seems to write but it fails to verify.it also will not if check when I use 24co2 or 24co4. Why?
What am I doing wrong?

But you can try to write the data into chip with those two part number. It it passed the verification, then the chip number is correct.
Those chips are EEPROM. You do not need to erase the chip before write. It will automatically erased when writing the new data.
