Posted - 01/17/2018 : 09:21:23 Using the ADP054 adapter, software reports writing a bin file to the m27c322 100% successfully, but when reading the chip, chip appears blank. This is true for total of 25 chips from 3 suppliers so it is Highly unlikely it is the chips.
1. J1 on pins 2-3 2. J5 tried on V3 and V4 3. Modified the devices.txt file to match datasheet voltages
The base GQ4x4 works just fine on other chips. Software is GQUSBprg 7.15, Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Probably to see if you have a genuine programmer?
External supply. |

Could be preventing some 27C322 to write correctly. Measurements could determine that. |

I edited the original line yeah. You can check yourself actually, if you look at any device that has 6.5V set you will see in software it reports it as 6.2V (Try HN27C4096 for example). ADP-054 doesn't support getting chip ID I don't think (It says feature not supported if you try). As for the chips yeah, 2 batches from Ebay but I also got a legit batch (proper age fading, stampings, serial numbers etc) from BuyICNow (also China I know but I've never had problems with any chips from there)
You are right for the 6.2V reporting. It must be a software bug, try reporting it to support@mcumall.com referring to this post, maybe a quick fix can be uploaded? |

When you say 3 suppliers are you referring to genuine suppliers or EBay sellers from China? |

Oh interesting, if I get info on the M27c322 profile after I loaded it reports WVCC as 6.2V even though in devices.txt it's set to 6.5V...
Yes that is odd. Did you edit the original line or add another?
What ID do you get back from the chips?
Maybe it's a read problem? Did you try to change the read VCC and/or VPP? |

Is it safe to go above recommended spec? the datasheet says not to go above 6.5V I think. What are valid values above 6.5V for WVCC?
Is it safe to go above recommended spec? It is highly un-probable that you have 25 genuine chips since how long they have been out of production. 6.5 is the higher the GQ-4X can go for VCC without an external power supply. |

Try higher WVCC. |
