i need to flash some w29ee512 chips with a latest firmware for some scsi to ide cards
im using the willem pcb50b programmer
i use the plcc32 socket i can read the chips but cant verify or erase or flash them
i check the software protect switch to unprotect them
but get errors when trying to do other functions
if i do the id the manufacturer does not come up
or its id
is there a programmer that can identify the chip and do the correct hardware unprotect 3 byte instruction so that htey can be erased and flashed with the latest firmware
any help would be great
and whats the best programmer for me as i also have a load of 27c040 chips to burn
