 PIC16F877 read write issue **SOLVED**		  Forum Locked

I read the original PIC and verified then tried to write to a new PIC16F877 and get error"Data size exceeds size of device"
Any help greatly appreciated!
I was saving the original image as a .bin not .hex

.bin does not work on PIC.

The configuration word data can not be saved in bin file.
