Need some help on what type of programing device to get
I'm programing AMD 27c512 in a DIP24 format that requires 12.75v to program
I currently have the top853 programer and it can olny read the chips because ther is no way to 12.75v to pin 22(Vpp) on the chip Because Of the 5v limit of the USB

Hi, the TOP853 is able to program the 27C512 in DIP28 package.
The TOP853 has a build in DC-DC step-up converter, so it can provide the 12.75 Vpp for the programming.

Most of 27C512 are programming compatible. So, you can select different 27C512 for trying.

If you are sure your TOP853 does not provide 12.7V vp on Pin22, then your programmer need to be serviced.

Aha! It's not a good sign if smoke came out from the programmer board. Then you need a new programmer.

Yes. The dual power willem programmer is working very well on the most EPROM programming. Such as 27C512. I have programmed lots of them already.

However, you need set some jumpers before doign programming.
