does anyone know what these acronyms mean, i find them in the willem software with values assigned to chips. example=eprom vea=18v, w27512 vpe=14v, rom vea=12v, d8748h vpp=21v. how does the willem duel power achive these voltages on usb 5v or 12v ac wich is just converted to 5v anyway? can someone please shed some light on this for me, thanks-tony

There is a sstep up circuit on the PCB. So the dual power will be able to step 5V up to 12.7V, 15V, 21V and 25V Vpp for programming based on the Vpp jumper setting.

The 12.7V will work for all 12V Vpp device.
The 15V will work for 14V Vpp device.
For the 18V device you may try 15V or 21V. It should work as well.

aahhh, ok making much more sense now, that 8 pin 34063 chip is an op amp and is setup for current to voltage conversion. thanks usb, i can use this thing with confidence now.

8 pin 34063 chip is the DC-DC convertor.

USB or tulufan, how about the Enhanced Willem ? I heard that It couldn't program some chips, because it couldn't achive some voltages with just USB power, even with the "sstp up circuit"/"DC-DC convertor" ? Could one of you shed some light on this, and explain it to me please ?
