So I am trying to write to an MBM29F033C (an AM29F032 replacement) and am unable to write anything to the chip.
I am using a DIP36-DIP 32 adapter in conjunction to the TSOP40 adapter I purchased from BuyICNow (hxxp://retrohacker.info/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3)
I'm using the Willem 5.5C with the AM29F032 selection. The chip does ID correctly as a Fujitsu MBM29F033. When I attempt to blank check I always receive an error. When I attempt to write to the chip, it just hangs at 0% and does not progress. I can read the chip, but naturally, it is blank.
Does anyone have any hints/solutions to this dilemma? Any help is appreciated!
Just a quick update, I was able to write to an AM29F016B just fine using the exact same adapter setup. This is leading me to believe the programmer is struggling to handle the MBM29F033.
Has anyone used this programmer to write to one of these?
For anyone else that cares, it just appears that the programmer cannot handle this chip. Has worked for every other chip I have tested (they all were on the supported list, other than the one I needed) so I just have to chalk this up to an unsupported chip.
