Hello,

using the Enhanced JDM PIC programmer wit my Notebook i am on the limit betwen working and not working. Sometims it is working and sometimes not. In fact the voltage out of the serial port seams to be high enough but it looks like the current is much lower than an desktp PC because the LEDs are not as bright...
Now i am thinking in changing some components, i.e. to reduce the current for the two LEDs on the Programmer. I am thinking of changing resistors and if necessary using some of these very high efficiency LEDs. What are the components to chane? Is there a circuit diagram of this programmer?

Thank You,

Chris

First, the programmer have to work correctly with the desktop computer. The LED do not take much current, if you suspect that, you can just remove the LED first for trying. The PIC do not need much currently in programming mode.
