I had just recently bought the GQ4X eprom burner.

I inserted a M2764A eprom and pressed ID then the software is hanged and nothing can be done to recover it. Unplug the usb and the software begin to initialize, say its updated and USB connection lost. Plug in the usb and it hang the software again. Seems like the software is waiting for some response from the burner.
I took out the eprom, plug out the usb. Restart the computer and it’s still the same. I reinstalled the software, reinstall the USB drivers but the result is the same. It looks like the eprom usb is dead. Any advise; thanks

The software window is hanged in initialization when the USB is plug in without any chip. I cannot minimize the windows even. I cannot pressed any buttons or activate the menu. When I plug out the usb, then it will complete the initialization and say sync lost etc... When I plug in the usb, the cycle is repeated, it hanged the window of the burner. Other windows not related to the burner is OK.

Had the same problem.
First used some years GQ3X but it gave me more and more problems.
So bought GQ4X and installed soft.
First start was okay, but next start nothing.

Removed drivers, Software and reinstalled everything-> No chance.

Took my second laptop (were no GQ Software was installed before) installed Software there, and it works now.

I had a recent issue with an Intel 2764A it would read only "FF" data and would not verify. After much trial and error I found out the Toshiba TMM2764A protocol works perfectly !

If I did it and even then it's fine. The problem is when I connect it to the USB and the software hangs up. I'm in a hurry to know what the problem is, if it's the programmer I give it back.
