 M29F032D read/write and ID fine but fail verify

Ive been taking my luck at TSOP chips for some time now, and have yet to make one that works properly. They do everything fine except verify, and when I dump the data and try to open it, its partially full of Errors, just enough that the image is no good and I cant use it.

Im using a custom adapter just like the one HERE www.mmmonkey.co.uk/programming-29f032-eeprom-on-gq-4x/
and he is having no issues at all. I know my solder connections are good, no short circuits, and everything between the 3 boards I have is identical, and yet they fail to verify even after burning at the slowest speed, and they freeze up at 12% on full speed, I can only get it to burn on -2 -1 or 0, same results.

3 boards with 3 different 29F032's all having the same exact problem on 2 different computers is NOT a coincidence, every single one fails, no matter what BIN Im programming to it, at Adress 0X00022A, Device 0X02, Buffer 0X4F

Can I just write to the 29f032x chip and put it on the typeIII board and install?
I have been reading about others doing that and it working?

I had the boards made and wired it exactly as the diagram provided showed.
I have the 40 pin ZIF and the type III board bridged with a m29f032d mounted.
I can ID the chip (When I am in a different mode... Let's say (m27c801) it will ID as the chip (m29f032). When I go to the device and set it to the chipset that it ID's as, it does not find it thus, not letting me do anything with it.
I am reading something about capacitors and resistors in the mix and I am confused about where they are supposed to go (if in fact it repairs the issue)?
I am just not sure what I am doing wrong. I have been doing NES repro's for quite sometime now and I have been able to do dual m27c801's on NBA Live carts, but I have been unable to get these working...
I am attaching a photo of my adapter.
(if you are not able to see the photo, I can email it to you directly). I did a preview and it is showing a broken image link.
Anyway, Oh. I am in the U.S. BTW. My first concerns were that this was designed around PAL and not NTSC but then I am reading that the hardware is primarily the same?

I have built the same thing. I am not able to get mine to work either?
I have been racking my brain for 2 weeks trying to figure it out.
If you were able to get it working, would you be able to share how?

At least your findings are helpful - now its known there is a software issue and that it was recently introduced.

So update. Like an idiot I added the ceramic resister and never tried it on v5.03 software. Its now programs and verifies with no problem using the OLDER software. So obviously theres still bugs in the newer software when it comes to 29f032 chips, much like everyone else on here has been saying.

What could be causing the same error on the same address on all 6 chips? Its not the file, Ive tried multiple files all with the same error

I know its not a verified board but they made it specifically for these programmers and so far mine isnt working out, I know all my connections are good. Ill try the resistor next, the .1uf capacitor didnt change anything even when plugged directly on the 5 pin header on the main board

Jarnutt: your adapter is not verified on GQ-4X. But you can try to parallel a 2K resistor between VCC and GND. This works on some other chips.

Or should I put it on the Programmer main board itself? Ive never ran into this before so Im a bit ignorant as to where I should be putting the cap.

I put a .1uf cap between Pins 10 and 31 (both VPP are tied together) and 30 and 29 (both VSS are tied together) and it still fails verify at the exact same address

Im using the type III dip36 adapter boards from BuyIC, so unless youre using those its no gelp to you to show where I would have to jumper it

that was going to be my next step, however, I was also concerned with the underlying problem Im having in general with the programmer. My other post describes it a little better, but this programmer doesnt seem to like to stay working unless you unplug it often.

Rule of thumb for programming chips - if you have issues, add a 100nf cap between ground and vcc.
