I would like to test static ram chips, like a 62256, using the true usb programmer.

The parallel versions support this, is it just a software change that is required?

Currently the static ram test is not in the supported device list yet. But it should be able to do the test.

You can try to use BQ4011 to program it. It is compatible device on program.

When doing program test, uncheck the Verify box. It will be verified during the write process.

The test data you can just fill any data in buffer. If program passed, then the RAM is OK. If program failed, then the chip is not good.

OR add following line to the devices.txt

Name="62256",ID="XXXX",Class="DS1230Y",Category="SRAM",MFG="SUMSUNG",VCC="5V";
