27c160 i had a special zif socket version of the 16bit adaptor made and got the gq-3x

what am i doing wrong???

do i need any jumpers etc?

This should not damage anything. It only causes wrong signals.

found my error a piece of solder landed on 1k x10 resistor array pins 2-3-4 i hope nothing got damaged

You need connect the three address jumper wires to the programmer: A19, A20, A21.
