werejag Posted - 01/21/2008 : 14:02:50
m27c4002-12f1 work but the newer m27c4002-10f1 do not
werejag Posted - 01/21/2008 : 11:37:35
i have 6 27c4002 from two different sources. it theoretically impossible for all 6 to not program. ill look at the schematic
ZLM Posted - 01/21/2008 : 10:48:57
It is hard to believe this adapter works for 27C160 but not 27C4002. They are sharing same circuit.
Here is the schematic of this adapter, please check if anything wrong on the soldering/connection.
http://www.mcumall.com/support/16BitSchematic.pdf

If no error found, then check 27C4002 if they are all good to program.
werejag Posted - 01/20/2008 : 14:01:58
this has to be either a software glitch or the adaptor i got from here.
werejag Posted - 01/20/2008 : 13:36:34
just did a 27c160 it works perfectly .... so i declare this adaptor the problem. wow yet another adaptor ill have to get. im geting sick of the lack of testing when these adaptors are made.

i might have to buy from another place seems im not having luck with any adapter from here.

but im hoping to still beable to fix it. and stay here for adapters
werejag Posted - 01/20/2008 : 02:38:40
ill try the parrel programmer but i shouldnt have to
ZLM Posted - 01/19/2008 : 23:37:24
That is strange. If all three adapters you have are same problem on two kind of programmer.

ok took off the zif sanded its edge so i can place a 40pin zif next to it. both fit perfectly with just enough space to move the levers.

but i still get the same error.

so what is the problem?
werejag Posted - 01/18/2008 : 07:57:57
well ill have to find a zif or mod one to fit the narrow spot a socket wont last long
ZLM Posted - 01/17/2008 : 16:05:15
If that one works for 27C160, then it should work on 27C4002.
If ZIF does not fit, then just solder a DIP socket on that location will be fine.
werejag Posted - 01/17/2008 : 15:33:04
you sent me that one zif socket version for the 27c160s.
werejag Posted - 01/17/2008 : 15:27:14
no zif socket fits in that due to the pins being too close to the other.

and the other non zif board didnt like the chips
ZLM Posted - 01/17/2008 : 14:25:42
Hi werejag,

You do not need a new adapter. You only testedthe middle one right?

The first one and last one should work too.

The first one you need to solder a ZIF socket or a DIP socket.

zlm so i need to buy yet another adaptor?
werejag Posted - 01/16/2008 : 14:08:42
i runing thru many 27c4002s so a dip would be destroyed after short time
werejag Posted - 01/16/2008 : 03:49:15
i waited months to get the parrelel willem fixed or tested with the 27c160s only to be told that the willem i bought here will not support it and buy the gq-3x from here. now i find what i was given in return has problems also. this is starting to tee me off.

werejag Posted - 01/16/2008 : 02:32:12
ok so ill have to find a zif socket that can fit that spot. its to close to the other zif right now
werejag Posted - 01/16/2008 : 01:28:44
do i need to buy yet another adaptor just for this

werejag Posted - 01/15/2008 : 15:08:04
damni keep getting adapters from you and i keep not getting use of these to program all the chips like they say. so buy a new adaptor???shesh hell
ZLM Posted - 01/15/2008 : 11:06:09
It seems the adapter issue since you tested on a parallel willem programmer.
werejag Posted - 01/15/2008 : 04:34:20
could this be a jedec or non jedec issue?
werejag Posted - 01/14/2008 : 13:30:22
tried another adaptor i got with my original willem from here still no go. its just says 16bit and japenses chars on it
werejag Posted - 01/14/2008 : 13:04:11

werejag Posted - 01/14/2008 : 12:54:08
blank test worked when the resistor array had crude in it. lol so thats not much of a check
ZLM Posted - 01/14/2008 : 12:51:24
Place a blank EPROM, do blank check, see if it do the blank check correctly.

What version adapter you are using? Any pictures available for your setup? So that I can take a close look on your setup.
werejag Posted - 01/14/2008 : 06:19:28
any ideas?
werejag Posted - 01/13/2008 : 11:10:46

It should be OK after you fix the 1X10K resister solder issue.
