Hi,

So one of the more important chips I'd like to burn is a TMS2532A. It's my understanding that it's not possible with the GQ-4x4 due to not having enough VPP power (25V according to the datasheet I read).

A friend of mine recently ran into the same problem and created an EPROM booster (Though it does have many other uses) to be able to help. (https://youtu.be/cmfbbyea2WM) It'll let you use your bench supply to give power to the chip without having to bend pins out.

I realize that this is one of those "Probably will void your warranty" type things, but if someone was to be willing to take the chance is there anything in the software that would prevent it? (Missing pin sensor that can't be overridden, etc)

Tnx
Tuc

Ok, so then I guess I don't understand why (TMS)2532A are read only. My theory was low voltage, but if it can do it, then why?

Thanks. I could put some shrink tube over it too. But I'm more looking to find that it's because the power to the pin isn't enough, and that the software would program it despite it being "(READ ONLY)".

Tnx. Tuc
