If some one can send a testing chip to support@mcumall.com, then the problem can be found.

I too am trying to burn an AM29F016B on a GQ-4X. I'm using the same adapters as referenced above, and I have also burned 29F032's without a problem.

I added the line of code from above posted by ZLM and did not get an error message upon loading the software, but I was not able to program successfully. It failed to verify for me too.

Not sure if this info helps, but I read the chip back and loaded it into a hex editor to compare against the original file. It found about 20 difference, all 1 byte large.

Heya, I already do that, they are lined up perfect

you have to check chip pin contacting in the adapter. You may need a magnify glass.

I have the adapter you referenced above. When I try to burn the AM29F016B, it burns, then I get this message:

VerifyFailed, Address=0x002CCC, Device=0x09, Buffer=0xFF

They will not verify

I have the TSOP40 adapter, trying to burn a AM29F016B, exact same physical size and pins as M29F032D which I have no issues burning. I added the line you suggested and it did not give me an error when I loaded it up, ill do a burn tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks!
