I cannot read or write a Pm49FL004T chip with the GQ-2X programmer. I have USBProg 3.01. I'm using a known good PLCC32 to DIP32 adapter.

Is there a trick I need to use to get this chip working?

This chip needs FWH/LPC+ adapter. Not the PLCC32-DIP32 adapter

Ah, very well. I'll order one up.

Maybe I'm missing something simple but is there a way to check this in the future? I'd just like to be able to look this sort of thing up without having to bother people on the forum.

Thanks for your help :)

You can check all adapter information from the supported device list from software OR
online http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/mcumall_TrueUSBWillemsupportICs.asp

From the software, once you selected a device, the adapter information will show up in the software:
