i don't know where you can buy one , but you can find it in edc15 ecu and other .
it's where the immo is stored , in some dash it contain the mileage .
100% sure now the adapter isn't the problem .
i have tried on the same 8 dip smd zif adaptor those serial eeprom

24C04 = success read & write (vag edc15immo)
24C02 = success read & write (old vag tdi immo ), pin 7 need to be ground to remove
write protection
2* 5P08C3 = sucess read , failed write (peugeot, citroen, renault edc15 immo ) , the datasheet said it have a write protect feature on one pin , tried to ground it or vcc it and nothing change still can't write on it .
datasheet :

94C04? it is not in the list. So, which device you selected for this chip?
I will post new beta software later for ST95P08 update for testing.

24C04 should be no problem.

Try following build for 5P08C3:

www.mcumall.com/download/TrueUSBWillem/GQUSBPrgRe4.0Beta2.exe

Uninstall the old version first.

Select 5P08C3 from software.

Let me know the exact error message if it fails.

* if i uninstall old version , after installing new version , the programmer doesn't woork .
windows cann't load the driver .
if you install the driver manually it doesn't work .

* i have reinstall back the last version (non beta) and after reinstall thhe version you gave me , and now the programmer is working .

but same problem with this chip :

Your chip position seems OK. But makesure the chip pin 1 is at the top-left conor.

Checked software again and did not find anything wrong.

I need a chip for testing in order to find out why.
