Hello,this programmer have current protection from bad chip?and can work with chip lower than 3.3v ?.Thank's

The GQ-4X has protection circuit to protect itself. Such as chip reversed installed in ZIF socket.

Most low voltage devices has "Backward Compatibility". For example, the 2.7V devices will accept 2.7V-5.5V operating voltage for programming. Such as AT25020(2.7V-5.5V),25SF010(2.7V-3.6V),Microchip 1.8V 93AAXX series(1.8V-5.5V).

So, the lowest voltage supported on the GQ-4X is 1.8V devices.

Can I upgrade from 3.01 to 4x using GQ-3x?

yes. The software Re4.0 is for both GQ-3X and GQ-4X.
