Does anyone know of any 3rd-party programs which can be used with the GQ-xx programmers? There are a bunch of popular PICs such as the 18-series, which are not yet supported by the supplied programming software. Since 3rd-party programs support the parallel Willems, they have no USB option yet.

Since Willem is now coming out with a USB programmer, I'm hoping this will all change soon but are there any available solutions in the interim?

Cheers,

- Phil

There are no other software will work on GQ Programmer. Those chips will be added in the future software release.

Thanks for the info, we'll be looking forward to that as we'll be able to get our other device programmer off the bench. The PIC18F452 and PIC18F4x20 are the parts we're most interested in, and I would imagine that many others are as well.

As you probably already know, the PIC18F452 is generally recognized as the replacement for the PIC16F877, which has been very popular with hobbyists.

Cheers,

- Phil
