Im new here so hello everyone

I'm having problems writing to an AM29LV160DT-70SC Flash Chip. Im using a GQ-4X with a 'PSOP44-DIP Adaptor V2' with software 4.01. Every time I try to write to the chip it fails with the message:-

"Write failed, Address=0x000001, Buffer=0xE3 Device0xFF"

It doesnt manage to get the chips device ID either.

I have tried it with the AM29LV160BT/DT/MT device setting, and the AM29F160BT/DT device setting (Still keeping the PSOP44 adaptor set at 3V) and it still fails with the same message

I have previously used the same GQ-4X and PSOP44 adaptor to write to AM29LV200BT-70SC flash chips with no problems.

Please could you tell me why I am having this problem? I'm guesing its something to do with the software? (At least I hope so!) If so how long would it take to fix? I only ask as this is for an important/urgent project.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I also emailed mcumall support but then realised there was a forum afterwards, so please feel free to disregard my email and reply in this thread instead

The software supports AM29LV160DT, but the PSOP44-DIP32 adapter does not works on PSOP44 AM29LV160DT.
Currently have no PSOP44 adapter for AM29LV160DT.
