which adapter would i need for this? in tsop-32 package?

as im having difficulty and want to make sure its the right adapter before i start trouble shooting. thanks

If it is TSOP32 chip, then it needs the TSOP32 adapter.

i have both, but i dont seem to be ID'ing the chip with either.

Both should work.

Check your chip pin 1 position in ZIF.
Pin contact.

What ID you got?

Can you try to read the chip? Erase, and the write?

ID comes back as FFFF, which is obviously wrong.

Chip works perfectly as it's back in the original device and still works.

right, the chip was from an xbox and it seems theres issues with this chip and ID'ing even in the xbox, you need to solder a wire on the bottom of the board for THIS BRAND ONLY... other makes of chip work fine.

seems like something weird this chip is doing?

If the chip ID gone, then the programmer may not be able to erase and write the chip.

i put the chip back into the xbox and flashed it in the machine.

i will try to get my hands on some for testing and send one your way.
