Hello all.

I am a proud new owner of the GQ-4.

Recently I killed a motherboard by using the manufacturer's windows flash utility.

It has a socketed MX25L8005PC.

Motherboard model: ECS P45T-A2R

I have been trying to get it up and running but ID Check/erase/Blank check/writing/verifying successfully do not seem to be able to get the motherboard up an running.
The most it does is power up, fans spinup for about a second, before shutting down again.

Does anyone have any ideas, regarding SPI chips?
File and device offset are all default, at zero.

looks like your BIOS data file is not correct one.

If you can find a working motherboard, then copy it to your BIOS chip.

I have the same conclusion.

Will try ECS's tech support and see if I can get a bios chip sent, provided its not too expensive.

Ok, all good now.

The Chip programmer worked flawlessly.

Verified that the motherboard is dead.

The EN25F80 works as a direct replacement for the MX25L8005PC, while doing my tests.

Thanks for the help!
