Hello there,

I purchased the 40pin GQ-4X EPROM reader to read and write a M27C400 40pin EPROM (4 Mbit (512Kb x8 or 256Kb x16) UV EPROM)

I inserted the chip into the programmer OK, but now the software says it needs an 'adaptor', which is clearly not necessary because the 40pin chip fits fine into the 40pin programmer, could anybody tell me how to get this working?

Thanks, Julian

GQ-4X is a willem family USB programmer. All Willem family programmers need adapters on chip M27C400 chips.
It needs ADP-054 or ADP-055
