I installed the driver and all, but when I connect a blank eprom (CY27C256) it won't recognize it. It just says " Manufacture-Cypress" then "Type-Unknown Device". I also get error messages such as:

Device blank check failed at address: 0x000000, Read= 0xFB.

Verify Failed, Address=0x000000, Device=0xFB, Buffer=0x00

CY27C256 is not in the device list, so the software does not know it.

You need to add the chip if you want the software to recognize it.

Your chip is not blank, try to erase it again.

I edited the device .txt file and put the chip information. It was able to recognize the chip for awhile (still wouldn't blank check or verify), but now when I go to ID the same chip it says "Manufacture-Unknown, Device-Unknown". Now the blank check works, but I can't verify. ???? The programmer doesn't seem to be writing anything correctly, I don't know what it's doing. My chips are blank.

*update, okay I can identify, read, and verify, but when I go to blank check, I get this:

Device blank check failed at address: 0x000000, Read= 0x00.

After I "Read", then look at code, it's all "0000's", that would mean the chip is blank? So if that's what it is, the blank check isn't really necessary? I'm writing a 32kb bin file to the CY27C256 eprom.

Do I have to adjust the device offset or anything?

The blank chip should be FF, not 00.

Try to erase the chip. OR write all FF.

Got it all to work, I just needed blank EPROMs as stated. I greatly appreciate the customer service, thanks!
