Hello, I bought a GQ 3X Programmer and I´m trying to read and write one 93C66BZ eeprom (SOIC 8) which is ONBOARD (I need to do it in this way beacuse i can´t desoldering the device). I´m using this tool:
http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4406
Step by Step this is what i´m doing:
- look for this model at the device selection and I choose 93C66B (16 BIT EEPROM).
- I try to read the Device.
- The buffer is full of FFFFFFF.
I don´t know what is wrong. Could anybody help me? What is the right way step by step to read this eeprom? I send several photos show the situation:
1st - usig tool ONBOARD
Image Insert:
35.49 KB
2nd - Chip select

3rd - Lectura

Not all chips can be programmed on board - it depends very heavily on the circuit design. You should remove the chip and read/write it that way if on board isnt working.
