This is my second post with this problem, how can i tell if my programmer is working correctly, this chip is supossed to be supported by this programer. (will this dual powered programer work on this chip) I am trying to program a AM29F040B chip but I keep getting an error at 0x0001a8 chip=0xe5. I can id the chip ok. When i erase this chip it goes to about 12% then says erase completed by check DQ7, when i do a blank test it tells me the chip is blank. one time it programed all the way but when i read the chip it is empty. I have tried 5 different chips 4 different computers, when i test hardware the vpp is getting 12vots, vcc is 5volts. the vcc led comes on when i erase and try to program, the red led does not light at all except for when i first turn the computer on then it goes out after I start EPROM3. the jumpers and dips are set as it shows in the software. I am chosing the M29F040B from the device menu as i do not see a choise for Am29F040B. the bios is set for ecp/epp have also tried ecp did not make a difference. any help would be appriecated. Thank You

Please confirm all the jumper settings. Also, in software should display "PCB3" on title bar.

Also, check all the IC on the programmer board, see if any ic got contacting problem with the IC. Do a switch for the same part IC see if any thing changes. Like CD4015.
