I have tried with i28f selected and normal. I selected the 28f010. Read the chip and get buffer full of 00. Read it again and get all FF. Back and forth each read. If the chip were just blank then it would read the same each time.

If you can confirm all the jumpers and DIP are setting correctly, then you need to check the programmer is working correctly.
Just using the Test H/W to test all signal on ZIF pin are working correctlt.

I don't have any AM28F020 to try, but I was able to read and verify an i28F020 with my enhanced. I can't even select AM28F020 in 0.97ja.

Watch out for the design flaws in the enhanced programmer. With Intel 28F, I was inclined to set the device selector on the programmer to i28F. But doing this puts VPP on pin30 of the socket at all times!!; even when VCC isn't enabled!!

HTH,
Dennis
